find the line width and style used for text
QCAD 2.2.2.0 on Ubuntu 8.0.4 How do I find the line width (or line style, or color) actually used for a text? The properties command gives the font, size and lots of other info, but no line width, line style, layer or color information. The property editor does give the layer (and coordinates) but n...

What would be really useful is a method to select entities by type, rather than by location or layer. It could have a user interface like the snap command with buttons for the entity type to select, or like the line command with a drop-down box. This would enable one to quickly select e.g. all texts...

layer confusion, missing entities
Qcad 2.2.2.0 Professional on Ubuntu 8.0.4. I have a (rather complex) drawing with a lot of layers. In an attempt to bring order to chaos, I created blocks (select items, create block, enter reference point, enter name). Then, because I forgot to select the correct layer in advance, change their laye...

Re: And I thought I was going mad...
.... I will see if there are updated drivers available for the NVidea TNT2 card, maybe the problem lurks there. .... Leo The good new is, that there were indeed more recent drivers available. The bad news is, that those new drivers did not solve anything. Or it must be that the direction dependancy...

Re: And I thought I was going mad...
.... I cannot recall if the same thing happens on the Ubuntu box, but will check that tomorrow. .... Leo Just checked: does not happen on the Ubuntu box, not even when a 0.13mm line fills the entire screen. For reference: that box runs Ubuntu 8.0.4 and is equipped with a ATI Radeon HD 3450 Dual Mon...

And I thought I was going mad...
This very same problem (disappearing lines with high zoom level) also happens on my system (W2k, with both Qcad 2.2.2.0 and 2.2.2.1), albeit well after the zoom indication goes from 1/10 to 0.1/1. I have a NVidea TNT2 graphics card. I cannot recall if the same thing happens on the Ubuntu box, but wi...
