Re: Paper_Space and Viewports
That's frustrating :D I tried this a dozen times or more. I cldnt make A connect to B to save my life! And I did it the first time I tried. Screenshot from 2017-12-07 04-38-30.png I have no idea WHY I cldnt make this work before. That's what had me upset. Every try was a failed attempt. And then whe...

Re: Paper_Space and Viewports
What drew me to your product wasn't its low cost. What attracted me to it was its ease of use. Well thought out. I've used autocad. I'm like menno: I liked autocad's command line interface. But QCAD's faster than that! A lot more efficient with its hotkeys. No, Andrew. I don't think I'll switch to t...

Re: Paper_Space and Viewports
And thank you for thanking me for my feedback, Andrew. Here's more: While you may consider the concepts of layouts and viewports to be advanced and non-essential, beyond the scope of a beginner's book, I've patronized your product and have every intention of continued patronage. That said, I don't m...

Paper_Space and Viewports
I just bought the QCAD eBook. Thoroughly covered tool usage. Thanks. Suggestion: Cover Paper_Space and Viewports in the same vein, from a true beginner's perspective, and thread it into the eBook. I tried learning paper_space and viewports from here , but that didn't do it for me. So I bought the eB...

Re: QCAD Installer and Linux
And it will install over the Trial? Or do I need to uninstall that first? If so, what's the procedure to uninstall *.run?
Sorry for the trouble, Andrew.

Re: QCAD Installer and Linux
I got the file installed and have a Desktop icon now. That makes me happy. However, QCAD is under the impression that I'm back to running a trial version again.
What do I do to get this resolved? Thanks.

QCAD Installer and Linux
I just read that the QCAD *.run will actually install on Ubuntu. I run Mint, so this shld also work for me. I'm a couple weeks into using QCAD. When I bought it, I looked for a *.deb file as this is the usual install extension for debian-based installation programs. So when I didn't see one, I got t...

Re: Adding Block w/Attributes to Template
Thanks for that clarification, Andrew. In truth, I'm just testing out what I can and can't do with attribute laden blocks. I don't have other blocks with attributes created yet, so I re-used the Title Block as tb 001, not regarding that I was creating a block within a block. I'll take the time and d...

Re: Adding Block w/Attributes to Template
The Title Block in the page center is the one I added that won't free up the attributes.

[solved] Adding Block w/Attributes to Template
Hi Forum: I made up a few Blocks with Attributes to add (as needed) to my Templates. The problem is, when I insert one of these Blocks and Synchronize the Attributes ( BLOCK -> ATTRIBUTES -> SYNCHRONIZE ATTRIBUTES ), the Attributes stay frozen/hidden in the Block. Will someone explain to me the righ...

[solved] Update View on List View
It would be nice to have "Update View" in the View List sub-menu. As a part is developed, the view will change, expand. So instead of removing the view and adding it again to the view you currently need, a simple update view would kill two birds with one stone. Just delete the named view and add it ...
