[solved] How can I create a polyline from a hatch contour?
I have a hatch, and I want to get its contour as a polyline. Is there a fast way to do it (not drawing the polyline point to point)?

Re: Is QCAD good for us?
Hello Menno, I also come from AutoCAD. Two years ago I decided to start my own business as an architect. At the beginning, as usually it happens, incomes are not so many, so I decided to get QCAD a chance: - It is very cheap. - Performance is much better than others like FreeCAD and LibreCAD. - Supp...

Snap to Insertion Point of a Block
I know you can snap to insertion point of a block like any other reference point, but I never saw the option to snap ONLY to insertion points of blocks. Is that possible?

Re: setting printing color
I use to solve this with two "template" files. One with layers in "model" style an another with layers in "plot" style. Just import the proper file in your drawing "overlaying" layers.

Re: Zooming using scroll wheel
I use zoom in and out by keyboard very often. For me the problem is that in this way zoom is always centered in the middle of the screen. Would be great to have the possibilitie of center zoom by keyboard in the pointer as well.
By the way, is anyone using apple magic mouse in qcad?

Create Library Item default folder
When I use "Create Library Item" command (B,T) the default folder is always my HD root. Even if I save in another folder, the next time I use this command it is asking me to save again in HD root, so I have to navigate to find the desired folder. Is it possible to change this default folder? I'm usi...

Re: What do people use QCAD for?
I use QCAD to draw 2D architectural plans, mainly houses and flats in north east spanish coast. I'm also starting learning Blender for 3D models and rendering. I'm thinking a lot about developing my own and local "BIM" system. I'ld like to create building components databases and work with this data...

Re: zoom in and out by keyboard factor
It would be intetesting to have configurable PAN factor by keyboard as well. Just a suggestion.
I'm talking about the distance panned using keyboard arrows.

Hello all, Is there any fast way to save into library (like independent dxf files) all blocks in a drawing? And what about the opposite way? Multi Core Processor Usage
Hello all, I'm working in a urban drawing plan (13 MB approx). I'm Clipping all it to Rectangle with C,L,R command, and it's taking about 10 minutes to finish. I'm running Linux QCAD Pro 3.15.5 in a not so new PC (Dell Inspiron with Intel® Core™ i3 CPU 550 @ 3.20GHz × 4, and 4GB RAM). It has 4 cores...

Printing Some Layers in Black
Hello all, I would like to know how do you manage your prints with QCAD. Usually I work with layers in different colours in model space; usually I use primary colours in model space to correspond to different thickness in black colour in the print file. I use also a few colours, like red, that don't...
