Re: Line2PEx - An improved line command?

I love it. So far it works fine for me. I have just one suggestion to make: It would be nice to also have the option of relative angle-increments. What I mean is: When starting with a horizontal line and then the next line is 15° up, it would be nice, if the shown angle of the next line would also b...

Filling an area with a bitmap would also be nice. :-)

Isometric bitmap

Hi!

I just created a little box in isometric projection and tried to cover its sides with an image of wood, but I couldn't make it happen.

Is it possible to use the isometric tool with images?

Christian

Re: Copying layers

Hi Cristian, with the background information from Andrew in mind - how about to create a template layer list to fit your needs? If you invest the time to pre-design a layer list with - let say - 20 Objects(?) you could use them directly out of the Library. If you then only need 12 Objects - so what...

Re: Copying layers

The only automated way of doing this I can think of is: - copy whole drawing to a new, empty document - in that document, rename 'object1' to 'object2' - copy entire drawing back into original document - delete pasted drawing I guess I can do that. I'll give it a try. On a side note: layers are gen...

Copying layers

Hello! I found it helpful to organize my work into layers for each object I draw. So I created a layer structure like this: QCAD_layers.png Now, when I start to work on object #2 I want to create the same hierarchy of layers for it. The simple way would be to copy & paste the layer structure to get ...

Re: Script attached: box joints

Regarding menu structure I agree with Andrew. Specialized tools should be grouped and not be mixed with the generic ones.

Re: Script attached: box joints

From my perspective I can say: I would like to be able to build my own toolbars. I want all the tools which I need for the project to be just one (or two) mouse click away. So it would be nice to be able to arrange the buttons as I see fit. And save these arrangements for later use. In this way I co...

Re: Script attached: box joints

It's great to see good scripts being incorporated into a new version of QCAD. It's now under menu Misc - Drawing.
But I would also like a button in the left-side line drawing menu bar. (it was there, when I installed the script by hand)

Can I do that on my own?

Re: Tutorial: Writing a plugin that draws a dovetail

Indeed a very useful script. Thanks alot! Because I use a router bit with 14° angle to cut the dovetail I modified the numbers slightly to achieve this angle: var corners = new Array( new RVector( 0, 0), new RVector( 6, 0), new RVector( 4.0053759772545544670076804975611, 8), new RVector(15.994624022...
