Re: discard a space as the first character in command input
A change in your habit could avoid this error. Instead of using "Space" you could use the "ESC" key on your Keyboard. With that key used it doesn't matters where your cursor is actual located - ESC will focus on Model_Space and mv (etc.) works like a charm without any error message.] Interesting, I...

Re: discard a space as the first character in command input
With <command> here I mean any of the two letter QCAD commands, like "mv" (my favorite).

discard a space as the first character in command input
I frequently type <space> <command> to get back to command input without looking to the command box. Sometimes I am already at the command line, and I get an error like: Unknown command or invalid coordinate or value: " mv" AFAIK a space as first command character has no meaning, and could be discar...

Re: [Solved] Mirror problem
Hi CVH,
Thanks. Shows that any download from the web needs some checking...
Anyway, I deleted it after redrawing by hand. Looks tidy now.

Robert

[Solved] Mirror problem
The right side of the attached drawing is mirrored from the left and shows a curious displacement of some small lines. The original from the web was full of duplicate lines (about 6000...) - which I removed - and I replaced all curves with circle segments to reduce the complexity. Still I don't mana...

Default printer
I have 4 printers, of which two are both A4/A3 color, very useful to QCAD. My system default is a simple A4 B/W laser for the usual desktop work. Unless I missed something, it seems that QCAD always proposes the printer which is the default on my system (Linux Mint here). And requires manual setting...

Re: Option to set RELATIVE coordinates as the default
+1 I use relative coordinates all the time (Maybe wrote to many G-code subroutines in the past). And usually have to type <space>@ to get to the command line, and often forget to type <space> so nothing happens, and discover that a few keystrokes later... So the option would be nice. Then, of course...

Re: Layer States
Yes I know that I can get a pull down list. Still, a widget is much easier, reminds me of the states that I already created. And it would be nice to be able to add in the layer state the appropriate Paper Space as well...

Layer States
A single drawing can generate many different 'paper space' documents, and defining layer states makes generating the output much easier.
Is there a layer state list applet to show the defined layers to select from? I did not find anything.

Re: Block: create library item location
Thanks CVH,
The modified CreateLibraryItem.js that you gave me works very well.
The BT command now remembers the directory where I saved the selected block.

Re: Block: create library item location
A fixed subdirectory in home could be a reasonable compromise. I don't know how it is with Windows, but in Linux I would run a cron job to pickup what gets into home/qcadlib and send it to the backend. And if I would stick to my own naming conventions, with a bit of python it might even end up in th...

Re: Block: create library item location
The more I use it, that default is not great.
As many other users probably do, I keep all my data, drawings etc on a backend server.
Even a 'hardwired' link like 'home/qcadlib' could solve the problem.

Re: LinuxCNC post processor
Andrew, Still a problem remains. When opening a test file (attached) using LinuxCNCmm, the 'CAM configuration' window allows me to set the usual parameters. When opening with LinuxCNCOffsetMM, CAM configuration does not list any files and remains empty. Robert Version: 3.26.4.0 (3.26.4) Internet: QC...
