Re: Exception

TestDialog.prototype.beginEvent = function() { TestDialog.prototype.beginEvent.call(this); ... } The line TestDialog.prototype.beginEvent.call(this); calls the same function beginEvent recursively. The idea of that line is to call the beginEvent function of the base class (in this case TestQCAD): T...

Re: Hierarchical layer list

I had actually considered a configurable delimiter at one point. "..." was chosen for two reasons: - the visual appearance is acceptable in other contexts than the layer list (e.g. in combo boxes, as plain text, etc) - it's unlikely to appear in existing drawings (much more unlikely than single char...

just a small glitch: grips are drawn also for entities on hidden layers Thanks. QCAD 3.4.4

QCAD 3.4.4 features a new dockable widget to select entities based on entity type and / or entity attributes. This makes it easy to select all texts with a given text height or all lines longer than a given length, all entities with a given color, all ellipse entities, etc. The widget can be shown t...

Re: new in town

Hello and welcome! I'm a software developer and I would like to make communicate and interact QCad with other software applications. Are you thinking about interaction on a data level (e.g. through importing and exporting files) or on a higher level (e.g. starting tools and modifying drawings from o...

Re: Window size for screen-casting - gone where?

I've added a separate simple example script, just for resizing. It's also attached and can be installed by extracting the ZIP file into folder scripts/Misc/Examples/QtExamples of your QCAD installation. You can also get it through github.com at: https://github.com/qcad/qcad/tree/master/scripts/Misc/...

Re: Slovenian translation

It's working! :D Cool :) Does the "Qt Linguist" have some hidden console switches, or how do you perform the bach release? Qt comes with a command line utility to do releases: lrelease My release script does something like this (Bash): find src -name "*.pro" | xargs lrelease find scripts -name "*.p...

Re: Slovenian translation

Thanks for your work! To use .ts files with QCAD, you have to convert them into .qm files first (in Qt Linguist File - Release ). These .qm files have to be copied to the appropriate location in your QCAD installation. For example for the line drawing tool: ./scripts/Draw/Line/Line2P/ts/Line2P_sl.qm...

Re: Adding new hatch patterns

Pattern files that are added to the folder patterns/imperial are available for drawings made in imperial drawing units (inch, foot, mile). To add patterns for use in metric drawings (Millimeter, Centimeter, Meter, etc.), please add your pattern files to the folder patterns/metric instead. If you are...

Adding new hatch patterns

From a QCAD user:
I have downloaded new hatch patterns in .pat format into the folder "patterns/imperial" of my QCAD installation. When I try to create a hatch, the new paterns don’t appear.
