[Solved] SubLayers not hiding
Just a quickie.
Using snap 3.25.2.7 (thanks by the way) Win 10
Sub layers are not hidden when the parent layer is hidden. (Incorrect behaviour? Bug report?)
However sub layers are locked when parent layer is locked (Correct behaviour)

Re: Active Layer
I can concur. See attached. When a layer is selected (highlighted & with pencil) and then a new layer is added then that new layer is selected as shown by a pencil, HOWEVER that layer is NOT highlighted, but the previously selected layer is in fact still highlighted. This has sometimes been a distra...

Re: Layer issue - Paste Along Entity
Yeah, now the bulb filament is glowing. I was "assuming" that the pasted entity was going to take the layer property of the path. It makes sense to me now. I do appreciate your patience. Regarding Hatches. Perhaps a suggestion to have option of an "ungrouped" hatch or a "block" hatch? Also, I'd like...

Layer issue - Paste Along Entity
I have Layer1 and Layer2 Draw a path on layer1. Draw a small circle on Layer1. Copy small circle (that's on Layer1). Select Layer2. Edit/Paste Along Entity. (Select however many you wish, say 10). I used Include end points. The circles are drawn. HOWEVER, they are on Layer1, not Layer2... Makes sens...

Re: Points on a line (curve and/or angle, etc...)
I like that! Excellent. I'm using 3.25.2.1 (Win 10) and when I hover over the entity it'll only preview a few of the clipboard items, but when I accept position it then fills in all the remainder.
Thanks again. Best

Re: Points on a line (curve and/or angle, etc...)
Hello, I found this post and wondering if there are any updates on this feature? I'm using Professional version: 3.25.2.0 (3.25.2) and at the moment struggle to find functionality that is capable of placing objects(circle in my case) on the curved line with a specified distance between each element...

Funny, I was looking at the neighbors cat as it was doing it's business on my property... wondering what I could use it's fur for.... so, so many things.

Re: How do I extend line and keep the same angle?
I just also found out, that the "Relative Angle" tool could also be used. Yes, but that will create another line rather than extending. I tried to move an endpoint. Left click the endpoint of line and drag somewhere. Unclick. Then spacebar to command line. Asks for Target point of reference point. ...

Re: begin line relative to point
Why not draw the new line beginning at initial reference point, then MV to a point that is relative to that point? (perhaps a little less cumbersome to moving relative zero)

Re: moving objects with keeping one coordinate as is
Panchdara, The command line is indeed the best practice with single inputs. :!: MV is great in moving items in a set. And I quote what I stated above: "Using MV I don't think you can explicitly "anchor" any particular point, but only move the entity(ies) either to absolute reference point or to a r...

Re: moving objects with keeping one coordinate as is
Hi Christoph, A couple ways I think. Using MV I don't think you can explicitly "anchor" any particular point, but only move the entity(ies) either to absolute reference point or to a relative reference point. Use @ in command line for a relative point, using 0 as X or Y to keep that axis same value....

Re: [Answered] Perimeter of an ellipse
Yes, thanks Andrew. Number of iterations? Or is that dependent on particular setup/specifics of the drawing (such as ellipse ratio)? (I think if I tried to read the code, it'd be like looking for a needle in a haystack :D ) I am just curious as I had just watched an entertaining video on the subject...
