Re: Performance with hatches and layout blocks

Hi, Seen the bugreport. And as I said in the other reference: It is quite hard to put your finger on when and what. Still buzzing ... got a tool to create patterns from entities in the pipeline. :) I speak from experience, made many hundred hatches, large ones, complex patterns and with huge offsets...

Re: Bad visual behaviour for dimensions lines

In your DWGTrueView.png dimensions are not rendered.
In the QCAD png they are.

Re: Can't copy paste in same drawing!

Mixed instalations?
Is there a error on the command line after pasting?
Could it be this?

Or to keep all layer expect layer with name X or Y ?
Has this question relevance with removing all dimensions (167 on rdc-cotation).

Then I would:
Freeze layer 'rdc-cotation'
or
Delete layer 'rdc-cotation'

Re: How to make 1 object from a drawn object

Guess its time to buy Pro... Sure it is! :) I know you don't gonna regret that. I ran your layer 5 through sheetcam and it can handle polylines Layer '5 Loose entities'. It is all in the name. No poly, still successfull simply by a sound geometric design. e_geek SheetCAM has detected the valid clos...

Re: How to make 1 object from a drawn object

Creating a Polyline from selection is where I'm at. That's nice, the point is that a good geometrical model will give you a proper closed path. A poly is by default a singular path. With OC you could test yourself. It can be done without the advanced polyline functionalities. Most CAM's will...

Re: Import measurement data as blocks

I don't think that a 'ready to go solution' is present. Not that in the past I've seen a script that does this. But it sould not be that hard to put something in the drawing related to entries in ascii or a similar format by a script based on 'Import Points'. I am thinking of X,Y,Z-> Block Attribute...

Re: Keeping Dimension Measurements the Same When Resizing Drawings

Unless you want to make a larger version of a miniature.
What is the reason to scale up the real world measuments of the design?

How we present this on paper has nothing do do with the drawing but with paper scale.

Re: Changing Font in Existing Dimension Objects

is there a way to edit the numbers in these objects? Yes, enter whatever you want in the 'Label' property. That will supersede the auto measurement. <> stands for the measured value. Look up 'Label' in the forum. The Font is a global setting but the size can be scaled like Andrew pointed out. In a ...

All, Reffering to: https://www.qcad.org/rsforum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=7319 The rounding in this example would fail if the smaller circle is not touching the larger one. Re: How to make 1 object from a drawn object

BTW how to remove the "points" That should be easy while selected them and hit 'Delete'. eg. Box-select the area in question (left2right). Deselect curves you might have included with Shift+Select. Look at the Property Editor 'Selection' and verify that you got 2 Point entities in selection. ...

Re: How to make 1 object from a drawn object

Your drawing is pretty simple. For the sake of using fairly rounded numbers lets say that: - the main shape has a radius of 92.5 @ 150,105 - the notches have a diameter of 6 an lay on an radius of 98.5 - the top notch is rotated 2.4° from straight up - the left notch is spaced 90° - the right notch ...
