Re: Some measurement questions

Is it possible to rotate the text that is showing the numeric value of a measurement? No, but it is possible when you explode the dimension. But with that you loose the link with the measurement. Is it possible to add fixed text to an automatic measurement? (i.e. - "feet" or the apostrophe symbol) ...

Re: How do I run "Polyline From Selection"

There are methods described to launch a Qcad function from its scriptfile. Including the things a user would set up when initiating the function. But I have to look that one up too. it won't be obvious .... keywords; script, run, ... Another example would be: https://qcad.org/rsforum/viewtopic.php?f...

Re: Open Source Nesting

Deepnest is what they call 'abandonware'. Jack Qiao (Jack000) never did surface again after 2018. https://github.com/Jack000 http://jack.works/ There is a fork with later commits: https://github.com/InfernoEmbedded/Deepnest Deepnest is based on SVGnest from the same author. Last commit there is from...

Re: Open Source Nesting

somehow it seems to of reversed some arcs? Rather all arcs look to be reversed in your screengrab. The dxf and the re-imported svg consist both out of 53 non-reversed arcs. Setting something else as 'White' and 'Default' for the lines: Looks ok in a browser. Opens ok in Inkscape. So it is a Deepnes...

Pls, attach your files.
That would not be the first issue with SVG.

Re: CAM: spindle always on?

Yes and no, this particular job is a laminate with .2(?) mm aluminium top layer. It's an engarving style machine. And you plunge 0.1mm? In the end this approach will kill your cutter sooner. Advice: in metal laminate plunge through the metalsheet. So the engraving cutter cuts the metal sideways. As...

Testing it with aircut gcodes can take pretty long, right?
Why? Just fool the Z zero so it cuts in air.

Re: CAM: spindle always on?

In fact, most post-processors don't stop the spindle between contours. Indeed not common practice. I believe this is a transition between two contours: Indeed -> N3300 path Normal up to 2 G0 travers 14,12 Plunge down F200 N3340 >> new path F400 We would expect a M5 as we can rule out M0,M1,M2 & oth...

Re: Laggy interface on macOS

Some things that went wrong: The lag may have started after I created two blocks (the pool and the hot tub) with solid hatches. You did not use 'SOLID' to hatch but you used the 'SQUIGGLE-01' pattern. I thought a scale factor of 1 was the "safe" choice to minimize calculations. It is not a matter of...

Re: Possible to add custom command line commands?

Indeed correct, it was the re-entry that did the trick.

The doubling of your last command is related to the Winstyle EOL and if you copy the 'newline' or not.

Tried 'cut' instead ... not working either

Re: Possible to add custom command line commands?

What I find is that TR stays active, it allows TI but does not delete. From notepad text I found a working method. TR 0;0 100;100 TI QQ ER QQ = reset ER = delete Remember that text from Excel might have a win style EOL. And that works fine for all but the last entry. https://www.qcad.org/rsforum/vie...
