Widgets Get/Set value vs text

What is the difference in essence between:

Code: Select all

widgets["AnyProp"].text = xyz ;
widgets["AnyProp"].setValue(xyz);

Code: Select all

var xyz = widgets["AnyProp"].text;
var xyz = widgets["AnyProp"].getValue();
greatly appreciated,

For what it's worth... If you don't want to spend time and effort to educate yourself... Or to get acquainted with the incredible versatile GUI... Investigate most of the entities types on a part of my drawing that serves to document all basic types. A major enhanced version of Misc Examples Export ...

Re: changing/modifying dimension

We probably don't understand why they should be explained. Entities with endings have Start - & End - points. Sqaured red & blue . Circular have Center points. Round blue . Circular can have Reference points. Sqaured cyan , on arcs blue . Circular can have Mid points. Sqaured cyan Polys have Vertice...

Re: DI - shortening ARC

Pls follow layer state setting mentioned in the drawing.

PS
This makes a slot 2.8 wide.
The arc is not 2.8 long!

Re: swapping endpoints (red square point against blue point)

Reversing an arc:
StartAngle,EndAngle oriëntation swap.
Start- en Endpoint swap
Sweep negates

but

Mid-Arc stays Mid-Arc

Re: DI - shortening ARC

The greens are radii with a center. Here appropriate 'moving' is to rotate. You can select the uncut red and enter a new sweep angle or arc length in PropEdit. Or, you can reduce/enlarge this arc in any way that suites your needs. Symmetrically as your solution or not. To alter the actual chord of t...

Re: Slow Processing, Too Many Entities?

Selecting different quantities of entities it would appear that the software cannot process copying more than 100 entities very quickly. Yes it achieves the end required result, but it is still relatively slow in comparison to other programs when processing only the small quantities of 100-300 enti...

Re: constructing a round using a circle with two tangential points

A former cad I used took into account at what side was pointed for tangents
so the user had control on the solution field.
Problems here are somewhat related:

Re: constructing a round using a circle with two tangential points

Flaw depends on order reference line selection and selection place.
Flaw never 1 unique on bissectrice.
Flaw regions 0 instead of 2, 1 instead of 2 (drew quick and dirty).
Regions not strickt. Very tiny diffs may comply or not.
