To do this you need to figure out the scale of your drawing first (that's what you always have to do before you start drawing with any CAD system). For example if your property is 15x15 meters and you want to print the plan on an A4 paper (210x297 millimeters), your scale might be 1:100 (one meter p...

Please continue to try different sizes for the arrows and text labels. That is almost certainly the problem here. You might want to create a new drawing and try this with the default settings of QCAD (without greatly zooming in or out first):

- Create new drawing
- Draw a dimension

You might have to explode your splines to achieve some of this (Modify - Explode).

This leaves you with line segments which can also be combined into a polyline if desired: Draw - Polyline - From segments

There have been no updates since QCAD 2.2.2.0. We are working on QCAD 3.0. The intention of the one year update period is to ensure that you can download bug fix releases which are released after a major release. Users who have purchased QCAD 2.2.0.0 for example, were able to download QCAD 2.2.2.0 a...

kbrande1: Scaling a PDF should not have a big impact on quality (PDF is a vector format, not a bitmap). You could also try to print to PDF using a PDF printer driver such as http://sourceforge.net/projects/pdfcreator/ To fix the issue in QCAD, we would need a sample file from you or exact instructio...

You can simply add your own hatch patterns:
- create a normal drawing
- draw your desired hatch pattern (e.g. 100x100 units)
- save file as normal DXF into <QCAD Installation Directory>/patterns
- restart QCAD
- use pattern

It might have to do with the resolution of the image or the memory required to produce the PDF. Not sure though.

As an immediate workaround, it might be an idea to print to an A4 PDF and scale the PDF up.

Have a look at mkspecs/defs.pro

Make sure that:
CONFIG += rs_scripting
is not commented out.

janif: Please note that QCAD was never intended to be a clone of any other CAD application. We aim to offer a CAD solution that works also for people who are not used to autocad. The decision to use QtScript as main scripting solution for QCAD was based on a couple of things: - QtScript (read ECMASc...

The QCAD Scripting module requires QSA (Qt Script for Applications) from TrollTech (Nokia). Note that QSA is being replaced with QtScript starting with Qt 4.5 / QCAD 3. Please contact TrollTech / Nokia to find out how to get hold of QSA is that is still possible. Note that you can also compile the Q...
