Re: qcad not open menu's option File, edit ...

OK. I cannot reproduce that here. The menu is just all the way at the top but seems to work fine (QCAD/CAM 3.24.0), also after restarting.

Re: invert x-Axis

The placeholder [X] outputs the X coordinate. [X-] inverts (negates) the output.

Re: Block creation problem

Hmm.. what is the idea here? So there's a block "block 1". Then we are creating a new block also called "block 1" which contains a reference to "block 1". This leads to a recursive block hierarchy. I.e. a "block 1" which contains a reference to "block 1" (aka itself). QCAD seems to behave as expecte...

Re: How to combine entities to a new outline?

QCAD does not have tools for boolean operations on closed shapes nor a bucket fill type tool. Both are very complex operations when arcs, ellipses, splines are involved. For an approximation of the union (outer most contour), you can use a simple script as follows: 1. Open the script shell ( Misc > ...

Re: Blue circle on printouts - why?

You can simply click the blue point in the print preview to select it and hit delete.

Or, as Husky suggested, use the selection filter (View > Selection Filter).

Or reduce the point printing size under:

Re: Blue circle on printouts - why?

No, likely a misconfiguration of sorts. Please post your drawing file (DXF/DWG) and a screenshot, so we can see what you mean. For all support requests, please: - Indicate the operating system you are using and the version thereof (e.g. Windows 10 32bit, Windows 8.1 64bit, Ubuntu 14.2 64bit, macOS 1...

Re: How do I run "Detect Duplicates MD" programatically?

You can find a list of all scripts and their location under Help > About > Scripts. You may want to copy that list and paste it into a text editor to make it searchable. Duplicates scripts/Pro/Modify/Detection/Duplicates This entry means that you you have to include scripts/Pro/Modify/Detection/Dupl...

Re: Lines become too thick when changing paper size and scale

No, there's no out of the box tool to scale layer lineweights. Note that lineweights cannot be any given number, but only a limited set of available lineweights. So this would have to be a mapping not a scaling. If you're comfortable with script programming, you could relatively easily create a scri...

Re: Lines become too thick when changing paper size and scale

Thanks. This looks correct here. The lineweight of layer "UMRISS05" for example is 0.5mm. The lines show and print as 0.5mm which is correct. Note that line weights are always in paper measures, not drawing measures. Lineweights are also not scaled with the viewport.

Re: Can't read or write ACAD DWG file.

You are opening the installer in a text editor. You'd have to run (execute) it instead.
