Re: Isometric conversion

Kia ora Owen - welcome to the QCAD forum. Would like to be able to convert orthographic parts to isometric, but not having any success. Does this require Professional version? No, QCAD CE has the basic projection tools too :D To check the differences between CE and Pro look at the QCAD feature list ...

No problem with Win10 ....

This happens only with a specific text font or with all offered text fonts?

Maybe this info can help pinpoint where the issue is.
Sorry, I can't see an issue.
This approach as you want to use the hatching does not make sense to me at all. Maybe somebody else is more helpful to you.

Good luck!

Re: QCADCAM Crashes when starting up

I apologize for the cross-posting, I did not know which forum was the appropriate one. Accepted. The only option that I could find to download was MSI. You will find the zip pretty much at the end of the download side - here is a direct link: QCAD/CAM Demo https://www.qcad.org/archives/qcad/...

Which installation format did you use? msi or zip?

Re: 3.23.0: Hatch is offset incorrectly in Viewport

Viewports are a 'view' of the Model so I would expect to have the same appearance as in the Model. As with all other elements (lines, dimensions etc). I understand your point! On the other hand a hatch is normally not used as a precision part of a drawing - it is more or less only an area informati...

Re: 3.23.0: Hatch is offset incorrectly in Viewport

But when rendering hatches in the Viewport is seems that the hatch is always rendered starting at (0,0). Correct. I have aligned the hatch to start at that corner: How you did that? Whats about to do it on the same way in Paper_Space? Or .... a maybe more common approach: What's about to exp...

Sounds like a plan.
If you need to save it afterward back to dwg QCAD Pro is able to save the drawing in any dwg format from R11 to R32.

Re: File size

Thanks for the link. I tried to open the drawing with QCAD Pro - it fails and freezes everything ... I tried to open it with other 2D CAD programs - it fails too. I tried to open it with the Autodesk viewer - again - it fails and runs into a never ending loop. Long story short: If that is the kind o...

Re: Bug: layer does not change without motion

The bug is that mv does nothing if the target is @0,0, No, that isn't a bug! I don't know your settings for the "Coordinate Format" in QCAD CE but usually @ is used for Relative coordinates. If you haven't changed the Relative Zero point manually (RZ) then Zero Relative is already on 0,0. A move fr...
