Hi Husky,
Thanks for the response! I understand every item is layered. My question is, could I prompt the software to automatically insert a text associated with the file name for the part? I already know I can manually enter text data
I would appreciate any kind of input!
Thanks

Engraving item file name/# in Q-CAD?
Hi,
I am also trying to engrave the item # (parts file name) into my pieces in Q-CAD/CAM. This would be a layered item.
Can you do that with this software? What would you all suggest?
Would appreciate any kind of input on this matter!
Thanks,
AdvancedIronboi

Hi, I am layering parts in Q-CAD by creating a new layer, then manually clicking on features/lines/holes and adding to layer. Re: How do I both nest & layer multiple parts in Q-CAD CAM?
By layer, I mean separate the parts into different layers for laser cutting. For example, layer 1 will be cutting holes, layer 2 would be cutting outline of the part.

How do I both nest & layer multiple parts in Q-CAD CAM?
Hi,
I am trying to nest a bunch of parts & layer them simultaneously. Can I do that with Q-CAD CAM? Can nesting even be done in this software?
Would appreciate any kind of tips or tricks, thank you!
