I have the CD for QCAD 3.0, It seems I never installed it 3 years ago when I purchased it. The current instructions on the web site don't seem to be for my early version. Do I need to purchase the latest version or is it available at no new cost.
Thank you

Add Application Icon to Favorite Applications Screen
How do I add an application icon to my Favorite Applications screen. When I right-click the application, I can only add the icon to Home Folder and Desk Top. This application was installed very simply using gunzip and tar commands. I have qcad 2.2.2.0 running in openSuse 11.4.
Thank you

Can I Create an Area with Enlarged Scale
I would like to have a detail area where the scale is larger so the detail is easier to see. This would be a small selected area of main drawing where I would make the part visually larger. I don't this is possible. It's just one scale factor for the whole drawing. Right?

Can I Place a Hole in a Hatch Area
I have a rectangular hatch area and it also has circles inside where I need to have no hatch pattern. Is there a way to do this. The hatch area fills the circle area too.

Please Critique My Drawing
It has been a long time since I last signed off on a drawing and that was before CAD. It took me awhile to get used to QCAD and figure out how to use the tools available. But once I got the concept of of it, I was able to put a drawing together fairly fast. Since there was no template in the library...

Re: Converting Blocks to Library Items
I have (without sufficient forethought) created a huge library of parts for kitchen design. They are all blocks in various drawings. Is there a quick way to bulk-convert them into library items? Thanks, Michael Just store the items in the library. Create new folders where needed. When you restart Q...

I had layers for the corner detail, the outline, the block for drawing detail info, and a layer for the text. When re...

Templates...USA
I'm a new QCAD user in USA and I noticed that the templates in the library files are for ISO standards. I need a template for A size 215mm x 279 mm and B size 279 mm x 430 mm. What is the best method to create new templates for my needs. The A3 template seems the closest to my needs. Should I modify...
