Bug: layer does not change without motion
Simple bug with easy, obvious, work-around. In order to change the layer of some entity, select the entity, select the new layer, use 'mv' with reference 0 and target @0,0, and click 'use current layer/attributes'. The bug is that mv does nothing if the target is @0,0, even if 'use current layer' is...
Re: Debian
Sounds good. I will request the package be reinstated and volunteer to maintain it if so, and I will keep the QCAD CE forum informed of the status.

Re: Operate on entire object (e.g. Rectangle)
Perfect. Clicking 'Create Polyline' on the Option Bar when creating a shape such as a rectangle does exactly what I want. Then I can later operate on the entire object at once with one click to select it.
Thank you!
Thank you!

To select whole obje...

I've written a lot of C/C++ in my life, worked on software docs professionally, but not lately. I haven't yet contributed much to open source. I've been a huge fan of Debian ...

Hello from timscoding
Hi, I'm freelance IT at the moment. Mostly daily assignments to install VOIP phones or set up servers or telecom boxes in data rooms or whatever. I do a lot of installs: A/V, LAN, rack, desktop, etc, and sometimes go on site to troubleshoot with a remote engineer in my ear. Smart Hands is what they ...

[solved] Operate on entire object (e.g. Rectangle)
I just started Qcad last night, so probably I'm missing something obvious... Some of the folks in this post: https://qcad.org/rsforum/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=5852&p=21873&hilit=select+rectangle#p21873 seem to be struggling with the same thing, but I read the whole way through that forum post, and the p...
