Ok, thanks for checking it - I wonder what's going on with my Qcad then?
Maybe uninstall and reinstall?

Re: Qcad slowing down
Apologies for not seeing this last night
This is the file I'm working on, if it is due to the file becoming too complex I will split it out
Cheers

Qcad slowing down
Hi all, from yesterday to today I note that now when I select something, or click on a command, or am trying to snap to grid that it is taking three or four seconds for that action to complete. I have not installed anything new, and the usual suspect of a windows update was also not coincident with ...

Re: Locating legacy text artefacts
Here you go, this has the text number 1 in it according to CAMBAM, and Inkscape rejects it
Thanks for the help

Re: Locating legacy text artefacts
Hi there, thanks for answering I do try to put all the text on a dedicated layer, as this means I can switch on and off the visibility to reduce the clutter when doing complex circuits. However, either by mistake, or by inadvertently selecting and pasting onto another layer, or some other unrecognis...

Locating legacy text artefacts
Hi all This is a recurring issue for me due to my workflow for making PCB's and such like. During the design I annotate various parts with text in order to try and keep control of what I am designing. After I have finished designing the PCB, I very often used Inkscape to help me verify the logic of ...

[sovled] Objects being moved to different layers and changing colour when moving
Hi all, this has only been happening for the last day or so, but whenever I move, copy or modify any line or selection, it automatically sets it to the 0 layer and the 0 layer colour I wanted to put in the bug list as per the initial instructions but there is nowhere to click for 'add new bug' I hav...

Suggestion for improvement to 'round' tool
Guys, I use the round tool a lot, but ultimately I find it to be frustrating to use due to a rather (at least in my opinion!) silly feature. When I want to round off two objects, 99.9999% of the time I want it to be rounding on the inside. So far as far as I can remember I have not needed to round o...

Re: Items that are not apparently on any layer
Hi again, I restarted the PC and tried again - all OK now.
So what did I do wrong so I can avoid doing it in the future?
Cheers

Re: Items that are not apparently on any layer
Apart from the renaming one (not entirely certain what to do there) I tried the others to no avail I keep getting the following message on the bar at the bottom Transaction failed. Please check for block recursions and locked or invisible layers or blocks. Puzzling, as now a lot more stuff is blocke...

Items that are not apparently on any layer
Hi guys I've been designing something and am trying to use layers to help me, but somehow I have managed to draw some items that despite selecting each layer in turn, cannot be selected, deleted, modified or anything. Not sure how I have done so, but I need to remove some and modify the others, and ...

Re: making multiple copies like the array function in other programs
Great, that was it!
Many thanks for your help, I have to say it did mystify me - maybe a trip to the suggestion forum to suggest those 'you did not enter a value in the X / Y dialog box' would be a good idea!
Glad you guys are here to help us all out, very much appreciated
Cheers

Re: making multiple copies like the array function in other programs
sure, here you go. Essentially, the small circle in the centre is what I want to repeat 7 times at 2.54mm intervals vertically downwards. As you can see from the screenshot, there are no other options other than selecting 'use current layer and attributes' but as there is only one layer in the drawi...
