Re: QCAD/CAM and FluidNC
Right.... G92 might be the much better choice in my case as it is temporary... G10 offsets are stored permanently in FluidNC..and therefore I might forget about it the next time (o; FluidNC states about G92 though: "It is left over from the hand coding days." OTOH that's what I will mostly do..hand ...

Re: QCAD/CAM and FluidNC
Think I got it now (o;
Played around with the FluidNC console...
So basically the CAM starts at 0,0,0 and I home the machine, manually jog it to the start position of the workpiece (left, front and top) and then use G10 to set the working position to 0,0,0.

QCAD/CAM and FluidNC
Good afternoon Some came across a good tutorial for QCAD/CAM and FluidNC or similar GRBL machines? What does the CAM output of QCAD expect from the machine state? Homed and zero positioned at the workpiece origin? Switched to another coordinate system with machine to workpiece offset? The QCAD/CAM d...

No 3D CAM preview menu item
Good morning Just downloaded QCAD/CAM 3.29.3 for Apple Silicon. Doing a simple path for milling I can generate the path, but there is no 3D preview menu item visible under the CAM menu. Furthermore the generated path looks kinda odd when I choose to mill inside the path, that's why I wanted to see t...

Re: Is QCAD/CAM an upgrade?
I agree ;-) What many software companies are doing is to give a grace period of few months after expiration....where you can get the update at a lower price than the regular update. Anyway...but what I like the most is the support to have the software installed on more than one computer....which is ...

Re: Is QCAD/CAM an upgrade?
Hello Andrew Download link has arrived now (o; I know that the license is forever...other non-subscription software have the same model... For the QCAD package the Euro 33 is an unbeatable price....true..but if you go for the full package it sums up over the years for private use (o; At least the up...

Re: Is QCAD/CAM an upgrade?
Well..I just ordered the full version including ebook... The documentation says that a download link will be mailed...but it wasn't...only the invoice was sent. Also nowhere on the website is mentioned that within the one year period you have a download limit of 50 whereas each individual files coun...

Buy button in trial versions lead to "This category is currently unavailable"
Just as a side note (o;
When clicking in the trial version the "buy" button you are forwarded to a page which doesn't exist:

Re: Is QCAD/CAM an upgrade?
Thanks for clarification
I was just unsure as I just saw QCAD and QCAD/CAM listed as products...but not a CAM upgrade if you first bought just the QCAD product.

Re: Pocketing with QCAD/CAM
Hello Andrew When you're saying that pocket tool is not yet available...is it already in the pipeline to be available in a near future? I want to switch over to QCAD/CAM Linux and away from Windows...but in the old CAM software I have the pocketing tool (which most CAM tools have anyway I believe ;o)

Is QCAD/CAM an upgrade?
Good morning (o; I just came across this site as I was looking for a nice CAD package for Linux to replace my existing setup with CAD and CAM software. Haven't found any real explanation if the CAD/CAM software is just an add-on and QCAD has to be bought as well or if the price of 89 contains QCAD a...
