Re: QCAD hung up while scaling

I wish I had gotten that error msg, Husky. Not sure why I didn't. I know Andrew has entries like this in try/catch blocks to make sure they're valid. It was just one of those quirky things, I guess. Seems like I get all the quirks life has to offer...like the lump of coal I got in my chimney-hung st...

QCAD hung up while scaling

I haven't tried to reproduce this, but I sure short-circuited QCAD. I was scaling down a block and accidentally entered two decimal points: .o.o5 The result was QCAD hanging up. I've tried clicking left and right, simultaneously clicking left and right, hitting ESC, DELETE, ESC & DELETE combo, but a...

Re: What is qcadshp.shx?

I wish I cld, Andrew, but it's a 1.5M DWG file. However, if you have FileZilla (or an equivalent), I'll upload it to one of my servers and provide you the necessary credentials to download it.

Please advise.

What is qcadshp.shx?

Hi Forum: I opened a file in QCAD without making any modifications to it. I added no lines, text, nothing. I can't say that I never saved it at some point. But if a save was made, it contained nothing intentionally new by me. Now when I open it in two other CAD programs, I get the following warning ...

Re: Copy/Paste off 180 degrees

Fixed.

None of that shows up until you ctrl + V

I got it cleared up. Thank you. And I apologize for my slowness. It never occurred to me that this tool wld show up on Paste only. My bad.

Re: Copy/Paste off 180 degrees

I can't take a screenshot with a menu rolled out, but I have Options checked. And when I toggle it on/off, this tool icon appears and disappears. But it isn't what you have.

I've opened every toolbar, went through all of the menu. Where is this option found? :-)

[solved] Copy/Paste off 180 degrees

Hi Forum: I hope this is just a setting that I can change, but all of my pastes are off 180 degrees. Look at the pics. This is what I copied. Screenshot from 2017-12-15 18-19-37.png And here it is on the clipboard. Screenshot from 2017-12-15 18-20-40.png And this is what I get when I paste it. Scree...

Re: Why am I getting this error?

I got it sorted out. A peculiar thing. I have an 8.5"x11" ANSI A template set to load on startup by default. I also opened an 11" x 17" template up beside it. But when I did, it also opened an 8.5"x11" template. And even though I deleted every piece of that template, showing me nothing duplicated in...

Why am I getting this error?

I have two files open. One is named and the other Untitled. When I opened the Untitled.dxf file (a new 11x17 ANSI A3), the following error message popped up three times (so far). Screenshot from 2017-12-13 01-17-49.png The only duplicates I'm aware of are my title blocks set in each file. What have ...
