Re: Multiple views

That is where I got lost! I kind of figured that may be if the information is set up for doing 2.5D for mill work. In a sense it would be like a pseudo 3D because the information is there for the CAM conversion. In the 3D simulator you can turn you object in different angles with is like different v...

Re: Multiple views

Haven't got it yet, but I was thinking, may be I am asking the wrong question or not asking it right. Let say, if I have a single view of something I want to create with all the information I need to mill it. Can I take that single view and turn them in to three views without drawing the views separ...

Re: Multiple views

That is what I am looking for. I follow you all the way up to the point on how to adjust the views, to get the three views Not sure how to pan them in to the separate the views. I will struggle through a bit to try and figure it out.

Before I forget, I want to thank every one for their input!!

Re: Multiple views

I am looking for the old fashion X, Y, and Z views, or Top, Front and Side views. Normally I just need the one view, but for things, when I have to figure something out, I may need additional views. I want so see the top of an object and the front and side of an object in the different views. I did ...

Re: Lost Tabs

What is the original contour and what is a offset contour, I think that is where my confusion may lay. i just made some clips for may faucet to hold and 6mm water line and I use tabs and seemed in this cast to work fine.

Lost Tabs

I an totally lost and confused with Tabs, when I use it, it seems to have a mind of its own and tabs where I did not want them. I know there is a simple answer to my problem, but I just don't get it. I am not sure of a few meaning in the manual about tabs. I am not clear what is meant by "Original C...

Re: Drill plunge passes

Actually I just put the 1100 in there, it doesn't do anything! I adjust my speed manually for the aluminum I have it around 18000rm. On my Router controller I haven't figured out yet how to get the Mach3 to run the spindle speed. If I put the switch on the controller on computer it just goes the ful...

Re: Drill plunge passes

This would be the very first function, drilling a 1/8"(3.175) through hole in the center of the three circles. In 6.7mm thick 6061 T6 aluminum. This is just a practice piece to get familiar with milling aluminum the the CNC Router, learning the speeds and feeds and any issues I may confront. I am mi...

Drill plunge passes

I am a little confused with the drill toolpath function passes. I got the impression that passes would come up a little to clear the drill flutes to avoid binding. But watching the process it seems not to have any effect that I can see when set to multiple passes. I had one drill bind on me, I tried...

Re: Qcad/cam

OK! That makes more sense, I did login In the passes few day on to the account, then I lost the page and couldn't find it. The reason I was looking for my account, I was going to use the old method of update, before you brought the new method to my attention. Shortly up the road I will update again,...

Re: Qcad/cam

The login I spoke of was for the web page, so I can get to my account. When go to Qcad.com, there is no login tab, or am I missing something.
