The icon lives in he Qcad folder, in my case it is /usr/local/qcad/doc/img/qcadicon.png. It probably belongs to root, so open a terminal and type: sudo cp /usr/local/qcad/doc/img/qcadicon.png ~/Desktop This puts it where you can get to it. If you right click on the top panel of the Ubuntu screen you...

I'm not sure how you can run a 32bit binary on a 64bit platform. You might want to ask people in some Linux forums or google for that. Anyway, that seems to be the issue here. You might have to install some compatibility libraries or such. Our posts crossed. Yes, now that I've got a lead I'll do th...

No luck. $ cd qcad-2.2.0.0-2-prof.linux.x86 $ $ ./qcad sh: ./qcad: not found $ pwd /usr/local/qcad-2.2.0.0-2-prof.linux.x86 but I have noticed that I've succeeded in changing into the sh shell - it didn't want to work before, must require rebooting. (edit) . . . but that doesn't seem to help much: $...

Qcad and Ubuntu/Debian
Hullo, Following a re-installation of Ubuntu on my PC I'm trying to get Qcad up and running again. I've downloaded 2.2.0.0-2 and done this: cd /tmp gunzip qcad-1.4.8-i386.tar.gz tar xfv qcad-1.4.8-i386.tar but when I type ./setup.sh I get: bash: ./setup.sh: No such file or directory Is there an equi...

If you already know the spacing that you want, you can use a series of equal circles, snapping to the intersection of each circle with the spline in turn. Get rid of the circles later when you no longer need them. If you are trying to divide a spline curve into a given number of equal segments, I do...

Installation on Ubuntu 7.10
Hullo, I started this post to tell you that I was unable to install Qcad in Ubuntu.. Not so any longer, :D but it might have been easier if there were a little more help on the downloads page. - I found out how to do it by mixing the advice on this forum: http://linux-cd.com.ar/manuales/qcad/004.htm...

Wish list
I've been using QCad 2.1.0.0 for about a year now and although I'm very pleased with it I have some suggestions which I think might improve an already great piece of software: 1 I would like to see the amount of space taken up by toolbars reduced to the absolute minimum. To this end it would be nice...

Update entitlement
I bought a licence about a year ago (for a Mac) , not sure exactly when, because I managed to lose my emails (duh . . .) Is there an easy way to check whether I am entitled to a free upgrade and another copy for my other (Linux) box?
