Re: Installed font does not display
Hi, I resolved the problem. It was due to the character set being incomplete. I thought it was illogical why one font set should work and another one should not simply because it had a shorter character set. I therefore added some glyphs to the majuscules and minuscules character set, even if I did ...

Re: Installed font does not display
Addendum Hi I opened myfile.dwg into Progecad 2018 for Windows, I use this rarely as I have to switch to Bootcamp on my iMac and for this reason I prefer to use QCAD. In Projecad 2018 I was able to add the characters of Roman Numerals Bold.ttf into a dedicated pre-existing layer defined in QCAD and ...

Re: Installed font does not display
Hi, here is the file. It comprises only the Roman Numerals. The other character I added just to provide some display. When you install it you may not see it listed because the capitals are missing but you will see a gap usually down the R section of the list. I am only interested in the Roman numera...

Installed font does not display
I installed a bespoke font and although I can select the character of the installed font in the Text Dialogue Box and change its size, once I click OK the character does not appear on the cursor. The file is encoded .ttf. I have tried other font files of mine, either .ttf or .otf and they have worke...

Re: Entering Greek/Math Symbols in Label
Hi Andrew, I found the file WidgetFactory.js and I was able to add the following symbols. 1- u221A SQUARE ROOT SYMBOL 2- u03A6 CAPITAL LETTER PHI 3- u0278 SMALL LETTER phi 4- u03C6 ALTERNATIVE SMALL LETTER PHI 5- u3C9 SMALL LETTER OMEGA I agree that in the longer term the option of defining characte...

Re: Entering Greek/Math Symbols in Label
Hi Andrew, I solved the problem. The character must be chosen directly from the Unicode List (see the attached file in my previous posting) and not from the other filtered lists, even the "Favorites" list. It must mean that once selected from the Unicode list they must lose their Unicode reference a...

Re: Entering Greek/Math Symbols in Label
Thanks for your reply. I thought I was entering Unicode characters as I select them from the "Show Character Viewer" in the Mac, see attached file for some of the common symbols I am using. Square root symbol is U+221A and Phi is U+1D6BD Can the file for Insert Symbol be modified by me to increase t...

Entering Greek/Math Symbols in Label
You were right! My text included some math symbols and that was creating the SQL error. Here is my question: I have a need to edit some of the dimension settings using a Greek label rather than the measured numerical value. I know I can do this from the Property Editor> Specific Properties and then ...

Bitmap Export default resolution
Is there a way to alter the default export resolution in the Export Bitmap dialog box? Current default is 640x480.Normally I export at 1920x1080 and would like to avoid changing this manually every time. Is there a .xml file I can modify to set my preferred resolution export?

Re: Change default 640x480
Is there a way to change the default 640x480 in the Bitmap Export dialog box to another one? I normally use 1920x1080 and would be desirable to set this new size as a default rather than entering it every time. Is there an xml file that can be modified?

Inclusion of dxf previewer in QCad
I tried to list this suggestion on the other website but I failed despite registering. Obviously my fault as I am not so familiar with navigating in Forums. I would like to suggest that a dxf pre-viewer would be a great asset if included in Qcad. It is never easy to just rely on the filename to reme...
