Thanks for looking it to this. It remains mysterious at my end! Something to do with my computer? Sadly I have a report to finish, so I will use the pdf you kindly provided before I investigate further - by which time I am hoping that the glitch will sort itself out.
Thanks again
Jackie

Pdf colours different from screen colours
Hello I'm having difficulty creating a pdf with the layer colours I want. I've changed several of layer colours on this drawing (architect's dwg with more layers and editing by me) with no problem at all but today I changed the colours of a number of layers, but two of them are not coming out in the...

Re: Hatch problems
Thank you both! Ar-sand2 works perfectly.
Yes - 18 months with no problems (usually user error) is definitely good... I must be getting better - and using QCAD is always (usually) a pleasure.

Hatch problems
Hi Folks I've haven't posted here for about 18 months, which is a record. My problems started yesterday, when lines only partially appeared in both print preview and pdfs. Since the drawing started out as an engineer's drawing, almost certainly not drawn in QCAD, I copied and pasted what I needed in...

Re: Images and pdfs .... again
Sorry for the slow replies - working on other things at the moment, and just trying to sot this out before I start the report (very soon!). I'll try to be a bit clearer. The A2 pdfs will be just that - not part of a report The report will contain A3 pdfs. When I put 53 photos in a word document (rea...

Re: Images and pdfs .... again
Sorry not to get back to you on this - I've been on site rather than in the office. My goals are multiple: * A set to print out and check on site @ 1:50; as I only have a small printer, that means sections at A4, and I've already done this, as the print to pdf reduces the file size sufficiently * A ...

Re: Images and pdfs .... again
Thanks - I am on Windows 10, so I tried MS print to pdf. This helps a little bit, in that if I make a pdf of half the drawing, then the file size is also half. If you come across any other ways to make the pdf file size smaller, without changing the resolution of the linked photos, then do get back ...

Images and pdfs .... again
Hi again I am back working on the project with the enormous scaled photographs. I have reduced them by half (using GIMP) so that I can mark them up no problem in QCAD, but I was wondering if you could help with a related problem, namely the size of the pdfs I am making from them. Every time I make a...

Re: Another pdf problem
Thank you - it did help! Although, in my defence, I inherited the weird global linetype scale from the architect - but I didn't think to even look there. No wonder there were problems. Hopefully, next time I have to use one of his drawings, I will remember to reset this. While I am here, may I ask w...

Re: Another pdf problem
I still have the same problem this end, even after restarting computer. I am completely at a loss, especially as you could get it to work fine.
Any clues?
Looking forward to hearing from you

Another pdf problem
Hi again Same project, different drawing (still supplied by architect from vectorworks), new problem. This time with the lines (red and blue) that I've created in QCAD. Some of the lines disappear when I make a pdf - you can actually see this on screen with the print command. Even odder, parts of th...

Re: Linetypes and pdfs
Thanks very much! I haven't used the select layer command before - it's really useful (let's hope I remember it for next time...)
