Re: Cutting order does not work - Legacy cam script

Here is a link to the relevant files. This is a very simple example that demonstrates the problem efficiently. I also included the two gcode files created by the different versions. The actual scripts, and the settings were identical for each run. I included the log files for extra information https...

Re: Cutting order does not work - Legacy cam script

The versions are actually 3.23 and 3.21

in other words, the latest one is causing the trouble.

Legacy cam scripts behaving abnormally

I am using a legacy CAM script that is still working fine on the 2.21 version of QCAD-CAM Something happened in the mean time to break the "Cut inner paths first" function. Please see the two screenshots attached: qcad-cam 2.21.2.1 qcad-cam 2.21.2.1 Screenshot from 2019-08-17 14-40-27.png qcad-cam 2...

Re: "qcad.exe has stopped working"

I recently picked up this issue using 3.17.3 on a windows 10 workstation.
We upgraded it to the latest 3.18 but to no avail.

At least I also have a Linux laptop that still works.

We did all the things on this thread already (including installing 32bit version)

Re: Adding Options to the CAM Configuration Page

Thanks for the quick reply. I actually found the Legacy button just before your reply and sure enough, my tools were there.

Will port it to the new CAM interface. Looks straight forward enough. I will let you know if I find things that needs custom configuration options.

Re: Adding Options to the CAM Configuration Page

I just upgraded from 3.15 to 3.17

None of my custom CAM modules are picked up by the new version. How do I make QCAD aware of my cam configurations?

I copied the files over from the old Camconfigurations folder to the new, but that did not work.

Re: A way to do stepdown?

I have the same problems currently, hence my previous message. I am sure there is a way to make it work, but have not found it just yet. Waiting on Andrew to respond to my request.

Re: A way to do stepdown?

Thanks w4kpm for dropping your GCodeZ code. I have a question regarding that. It somehow only works for the default cutting settings, ignoring the layer cut heights completely. Looks like maxdepth in exportContour always reports the default rather than the layer value. Andrew, is there a way to get ...

Re: How do I add spindle control (Laser Power)

Hi Andrew, It is more than a year since I tried last, and I finally got it working after rewriting my module from scratch this weekend. I now have Z, feedrates and laser power on each layer. One question though... How do I force it to do rapid Z moves before X and Y moves? This is for a laser that d...
