Re: Pdf export
The drawing is configured to print on 26 x 26 pages: Screenshot 2021-04-15 at 20.36.51.png You can change that to one single page under Edit > Drawing Preferences > Printing > Multi Pages . You also might want to adjust the print margins. And then auto fit the drawing using the appropriate button in...

Re: qcad/cam post processors
There is no post processor out of the box for this controller (FireControl). However, it looks like standard G-Code, probably with some extra codes. If you can provide an example file that works on your machine, we can tell you more.

Re: Recurring parts
You can add it as a QCAD library item or simply drag and drop the DXF file from your favourite file manager (for example Windows Explorer or macOS Finder) into the drawing area:

Re: Recurring parts
You could design the block with a letter size of 1.0, then enter the desired letter size as scale factor in the options toolbar at the top while inserting the block.

Re: Calculate total area
As a first step, I would suggest to create a solid fill from the contents. This will only succeed if the file exclusively contains closed contours: dwghatch -o file_solid_fill.dxf file.dxf Although currently not included in QCAD Pro, we do have a command line script here that can then output the are...

Re: 3.26.2 "local data" question
These are directories where you can add your own hatch pattern (.pat), linetype (.lin), font (.cxf) or post processor (.js) files. These resources will then be found by QCAD as if they were a part of QCAD. This makes updating easier and also means that you won't need admin rights to install such ext...

Re: Nesting API
Note that the alignment only has an effect for the align nest strategy (RNester.Align), not for the hull strategy.
QCAD/CAM uses the same API call when the user sets the alignment. This API should work. Perhaps, you can provide more context.

Re: Editing lettes for a plamsa table
The shape of the bridge does not really matter with this method as long as it consists of two elements that are long enough to bridge the width of the letters stroke.

Re: Editing lettes for a plamsa table
You'd have to explode the text first (possibly twice if it's a formatted text).
The shape of text glyphs cannot be changed without exploding the text outline to a vector geometry (polyline).
