I'd recommend using layer states to store different states of layers for different uses:

Re: Unexpected colors on the Map Tile Result

I suspect a problem with the transparent background. Can you try -b white just to confirm / rule out my suspicion. Unfortunately I was unable to reproduce the problem here. You can also try: -b "#ffffffff" which is essentially a transparent white (#AARRGGBB). Please let us know what effect these dif...

Is there a way to skip already created tiles?
No.

Re: Orphanize layers

Alternatively, you can click (select) the top child layer, then shift-click the bottom child layer and choose Layer > Delete Layer(s).

Re: Displaying files converted from PDF to DFX

Both DXF files are empty (zero entities). These conversions often fail since not every PDF contains any vector data in the first place. After converting the PDF to a raster image (bitmap), you can insert it into a QCAD drawing using Draw > Insert Bitmap . Note that QCAD does not open bitmaps directl...

Re: What Causes QCAD To Slow Down

Based on the file "210211 Booth QCAD.dwg", I cannot reproduce this here. Can you please elaborate on "dramatically slowed down". Are we talking about a slight delay when moving the cursor (<1s)? Also is there a particular area of the drawing that is affected? As always, please indicate what version ...

Re: What Causes QCAD To Slow Down

Very dense hatches can cause such problems. You might want to lower the timeout for hatch rendering under
Edit > Application Preferences > Graphics View > Appearance > Timeout for hatch rendering

For an efficient analysis, we would indeed need your file.

Re: missing file on my computer

I'd recommend installing the Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 from:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downloa ... x?id=48145

Usually this should not be necessary, but on some systems it appears to be.
