Re: QCAD file compatibility

There are different versions of the DXF/DWG format. You need to check what version of Autocad they have and then export in QCAD for that version.

Re: Automatic line division: How I do ?

Not out of the box. You'd have to use a script to do that.

Re: Move command

How do I move something something, say 4" over? There are many ways to do that: - Cut / paste or copy paste: Edit > Cut with reference / Copy with reference Edit > Paste When pasting, enter "@4,0" (without the ") in the command line and press enter (relative coordinate) or use Snap > Coordinate and...

Re: Install on a chrome book

There's probably a small chance if it's an Intel-based Chromebook.

For ARM processors, you'd have to install Qt and compile the QCAD sources if that is at all an option for you.

Re: Redraw command

You'd have to script that:

- query all entities
- order by draw order (RStorage::orderBackToFront)
- assign new draw order

The order number is actually translated during save into the order in which entities are saved which matches the display order in DXF/DWG.

Re: Install on a chrome book

I'm afraid that this will likely not work, at least not with QCAD Professional. There might be a QCAD Community Edition port available somewhere for Chromebooks. Note that some Chromebooks use ARM processors. We haven't ported QCAD to that platform and the OpenDesign libraries (used for DXF/DWG supp...

Re: Differtent print format between 3.23 and 3.24 version

Not really, one drawing is complete with the border, title block, the other NOT. Yes, I can see that. So if I understand you correctly, the paper size is not the problem at all but visibility of a part of the drawing? Please confirm, as above you were talking about the drawing not fitting on A0 and...

Re: Differtent print format between 3.23 and 3.24 version

I'm afraid I still don't follow. The PDFs you posted from QCAD 3.23 and 3.24 are exactly the same size (A0). What exactly is wrong / the problem? Why do you think one will not fit on A0?

Re: Simplify Poly

Stating with QCAD 3.23.0, the Ramer Douglas Peucker algorithm is used to simplify line segments of polylines, "tolerance" being the "epsilon" or maximum deviation from the original polyline. The manual will be updated.

Re: Export Attributes

You'd have to write a script that does that. Here are some starting points: Displaying all block attributes in the command line history of QCAD: https://github.com/qcad/qcad/blob/master/scripts/Misc/MiscBlock/BlockListAttributes/BlockListAttributes.js Exporting the block list as CSV file: https://gi...

Re: Differtent print format between 3.23 and 3.24 version

I can tell that the two PDF's have the exact same paper size:
118.89 × 84.11 cm (A0)

Are you referring to something else? Or does the problem only occur when printing the PDFs?
