1. If a draw a line and change to dotted line, nothing happens
2. Hatches are not working at all
Any hints
1. Activate "Screen Based Linetypes" below Menu / View.
2. Try the hatch "Ansi 31", Scale 1, Angle 0. Will that work?

Re: My first CAD file it is too slow, and had to stop.

I do not need to edit these complex blocks, and was only to use them, for optical/graphical/symbolic-effect/reference ... It is always helpful to keep in mind what the purpose is of any action. QCAD isn't designed to do a graphical design and frankly no CAD system is built to do that. Bottom line -...

Ah, well, maybe some other time. We'd like to better understand how QCAD/QCAD CE play together in your business strategy. We want to support any project supporting FOSS. So who else might be interested? Husky I'm looking in your direction. Andrew do you have some suggestions for who I could ask? Ma...

Re: Dashed Lines

Hi, Hidden lines appear as solid unless you zoom in on the line. Is there a way to scale the line so a hidden line appears as dashes in a drawing that is 20 feet long? For the moment, forget the scaling of the lines. Maybe we do not need that. Please check the line type in the Layer attributes which...

Re: DWG file problem

Some blocks do not show up. Other have a different color. One block is without content (PHE_PlateHeatExchanger) and the color is controlled by the active layer. Other than that I don't see really something wrong with the file. To help you more efficient please describe exactly what you are doing, w...

Re: Some questions

Hi If I already have a block and I want to add elements from the outside, I have to blast the block and recreate it, no faster system? Yep - there is a faster system ... If you choose block how can I know your name? check Property Editor below Referenced Block There is no way like autocad to edit b...

Re: bitmap/svg image import size

I think one issue was that I have been using file>import to import both PNG and SVG. Nope - that shouldn't be an issue ... When I use this method to import a solid filled SVG, I can't make sense of the size that gets imported. I created a solid filled 96 pixel square in Inkscape and it isn't showin...

Re: QcadUserTheme

That is a great idea! Thanks for the program. Windows users need to make sure that wherever they place the QcadUserTheme folder it does not need Admin rights. Tried in Win 10/64 to load a .ccs but it keeps telling me it isn't a valid .ccs. What is a valid .ccs ... Husky-2021.03.31-01.png ... I teste...

Re: bitmap/svg image import size

I've noticed when importing PNG or SVG images into my DXF, they always seem much larger than I anticipate they should be. As a test, I created a 6" by 4" PNG and SVG in Inkscape and imported both into a DXF. It shows the SVG as 45' by 30' and the PNG as 48' by 32'. Let's concentrate on the png firs...

Re: Dashed Lines

Hi I can't quite work out how to edit and save dashed lines at Layer level so that I can have (for instance) a standard dashed line to depict a fold, and a 'finer' dashed line to depict hidden objects. QCAD comes with three typ's of dashed lines: Dashed, Dashed .5x and Dashed 2.x. Isn't that enough ...

However, when setting the scale for an individual viewport, you have to enter the factor directly; you can not enter the value in the aforementioned styles.
On Win for Viewport ...
