Hello, Did you use the "Text Height" item in the "Measures" tab in the "Current drawing preferences" in "Edit" Menu ? Michel (PS oups for my translations of menu items as I'm using the french version of QCAD pro) Yes, and that is an important part of the task, as not getting that right gives totall...

Well I found that .qcad directory in my /home, but closing QCAD, deleting the folder and restarting didn't seem to do any good as I still had the duplicates show up... Incidentally it looks like QCAD doesn't automatically copy the entire library over to the .qcad folder, but only those parts of it t...

Part library thumbnails appear twice in window
I have been using QCAD Pro Version: 2.2.2.0 sucessfully for a while, but after doing some recent system upgrades, I now have SOME but not all of the part library file thumbnails appearing twice in the library browser window. It appears from partial checking that most of the parts from the Ribbonsoft...

I am having the opposite problem - most of my line widths are set to 1.0mm(ISO). The solid lines look fine, but the dotted lines have their dots so far apart as to be hard to even see they are there, let alone where they go. What is strange is that the lines initially looked fine when I drew them, a...

Sigh... I guess that is what I will have to do then - if there isn't a way to put the license info in the file, then I will have to settle for the overall... BTW, I also filed a bug report against dxflib via the Ribbonsoft "contact us" page - it sounds like this thread pretty much addresses the issu...

It is turning into an uglier problem than I initially thought... I have figured out how to put comments into a .dxf file, using the 999 group code, but I can't get them to STAY in the file - if I put the comments in with a text editor (vim) it looks fine and the file opens. But when I open the file ...

Making PERSISTENT Comments in .DXF files?
I am wanting to put some comments in some .DXF files that I am creating with QCAD pro-edition. I have found in the AutoDesk documentation that one can put comments in the file using the following structure 999 this is a comment 999 this is another comment If I open a file with VIM I can edit it, and...

Thanks for that link - it looks like it could have a lot of useful things in it, though it's hard to tell (I didn't see an easy way to get thumbnails to preview the drawings) However I'm slowly working my way towards being able to release this library as an open source thing... I'm a strong believer...

I'm guessing, but it looks to me like the QCAD community edition follows the old "Ghostview" model, where the GPL "Community Edition" follows one release version or so behind the "Pro Edition"... IOW, I would sort of expect that the next update of the Community Edition would happen about the same ti...

I am guessing here, but if nothing else, I'd think you could "brute force" it... Something like 1. Add a layer and draw an appropriately sized grid on it. 2. Using the grid to make a selection window, copy the contents of each grid section into a new drawing 3. Delete / hide the lines from the grid ...

Have you tried zooming way in on the picture? I have sometimes had trouble getting trim to work well, and found that it helped to zoom in until there was little more visible on the screen than the intersection I was trying to trim... Maybe it's my aged eyeballs, :( but I seem to have trouble selecti...
