Confronted with a bug in font Standard glyph ”s” (small S),
and a solution.

Any reason for offsetting the letters? These entities are very small and I can see how offsetting them might increase a small error and cause problems. Perhaps, text can be processed “on” the contour instead?

Yes, a very good reason when using a lasercutter for cutting PCB's.
